Stuck Oboe Swab
Instrument repair techs frequently are asked to remove objects stuck inside instruments. Recently we were asked to remove a cleaning swab stuck inside the top section of an oboe.
Yamaha YBS-61 Octave Vent Fix
Yamaha’s YBS-61 baritone sax was an excellent instrument. However, the initial octave vent placement caused the G and G# in the second octave to be stuffy, unfocused, and uncentered.
